Midori Cottage is a modern, recently renovated Chalet, centrally located in middle Hirafu, Niseko, Japan. It is a 5 - 10 minute walk to all levels of ski runs and mountain bike trails.

From the rear the house has no neighbours, with uninterrupted views of open fields and glorious Mt Yotei. The home is ideal for 1 or 2 families. It sleeps 8 in two double rooms and one quad room.

It has all you need to enjoy a winter skiing or spring/summer/autumn hiking, bike riding, fishing, or golf holiday.

  • Midori sleeps 8 comfortably across 3 bedrooms.

  • The house has an open kitchen lounge room area, 1.5 bathrooms, laundry and a large ski/entry room great for drying ski gear in winter, and muddy boots in summer.

    There is a heater, air conditioner, washer/dryer, convection oven and wifi with unlimited downloads.

  • The Niseko area receives huge snowfalls each year in winter. While staying at this lodge, guests will need to do some snow clearing, including stairs and entrance ways. Sometimes the driveway clearer might be late on 30cm + days so you may have to dig out your car.

    We will clear the rest of the house approximately once per week (depending on snowfall) but you must maintain the entranceway.

  • Midori Cottage is in the heart of Hirafu. Close to all of the best restaurants and only minutes walk to the Grand Hirafu ski lifts or cycle to the mountain bike park. It is also a short 10 minute drive or bus ride to Kutchan for groceries.

  • Midori cottage is only a 5 minute walk to the ski lifts, and all the best local cafes and restaurants. There is plenty of public transport and a local shuttle bus around the resort ith the shuttle stop close by the house. If you do bring a car there is a car space in front of the house for parking.

    • 90 calendar days or more before the first night booked – 90% refund of all payments.

    • Within 90 days of the first night booked – 50% refund on nightly rate.

    • Within 30 days of the first night booked – 0% refund on nightly rate.

    • On cancellation of the above, any bond and cleaning fees paid which is in excess of the nightly rate will be refunded in full.

    • In the event of a natural or man-made disaster, including but not limited to an earthquake, tsunami, volcanic eruption, pandemic, nuclear meltdown or war that causes us to cease our entire operations or which means you are unable to undertake your holiday due to flight cancellations or travel restrictions, accommodation dates will be transferrable to another date without additional cost. This does not limit your option to request a refund as provided above.

  • We ask you to pay in full in advance, and then we adhere to our cancellation policy as above.

    You are also required to pay a refundable ¥30,000 bond (security deposit). If you or your guests cause any damage to the property during your stay then this bond will be used to cover the costs of the damage.

    If the costs of damage exceed the bond amount you remain responsible for the full cost of the damage.
